> The Entrance Hall
"The entrance hall was so big you could have fit the whole of the Dursleys’ house in it. The stone walls were lit with flaming torches like the ones at Gringotts, the ceiling was too high to make out, and a magnificent marble staircase facing them led to the upper floors."

> The Great Hall
"It was lit by thousands and thousands of candles that were floating in midair over four long tables, where the rest of the students were sitting. These tables were laid with glittering golden plates and goblets. At the top of the hall was another long table where the teachers were sitting"

> Hufflepuff Basement
"It is round and earthy and low-ceilinged; it always feels sunny, and its circular windows have a view of rippling grass and dandelions. There is a lot of burnished copper about the place, and many plants, which either hang from the ceiling or sit on the windowsills."

"The Slytherin common room was a long, low undergeround room with rough stone walls and ceiling, from which round, greenish lamps were hanging on chains. A fire was crackling under an elaborately carved mantelpiece ahead of them."

> The Grand Staircase
"There were a hundrend and forty-two staircases at Hogwarts: wide, sweeping ones; narrow, rickety ones; some that led somewhere different on a Friday; some with a vanishing step halfway up that you had to remember to jump."

> The Courtyard
"The courtyard lay in ruins. The fountain, where Sarah had often sat in the summer, was smashed into three huge chunks, the surrounding walls were cracked and, in parts, missing entirely."

"Professor Dourn found that he was never truly free of students. When he retreated to the staff room for a much needed break one would always knock on the door asking for help with something or another. The other professors grew agitated with him once he started hiding in the cupboard."

"The lake, which Harry had always taken for granted as just another feature of the grounds, drew his eyes whenever he went near a classroom window, a great, iron-grey mass of chilly water, whose dark and icy depths were starting to seem as distant as the moon."

"The forest hid many secrets. It was said a Centaur herd lived somewhere in it's depths but that was nothing compared to the outrageous claims some students were making, which included a three-headed dog, a manticore, and even the ghost of Lord Voldemort."
